"SPEAK THE CEO LANGUAGE ON ENGAGEMENT & RETENTION: "DOLLARS!"

DICK FINNEGAN, President Of Finnegan Mackenzie, The Retention Firm

Dick Finnegan has been cited by BusinessWeek, Chief Executive Magazine, and Consulting Magazine as the leading thinker on employee retention.
Dick is the CEO of C-Suite Analytics, his company helps organizations engage and retain their employees. He is also the author Rethinking Retention in Good Times and Bad as well as The Power of Stay Interviews for Engagement and Retention. BusinessWeek has referred to Dick's work as "offers fresh thinking for solving the turnover problems in any economy".

PRESENTATION

Most CEOs climb their careers through sales and finance where the only reports they see are driven by dollars. How, then, can we expect them to take strong actions based on turnover percentages and engagement survey scores? Imagine if you could report these two critical people-management measures in dollars. Would your CEO be more likely to direct poor-performing managers to improve?
This session will be entirely devoted to learning the dollar values of turnover and engagement, and then applying calculations to learn your own true dollar values. Participants will walk away with formulas you can use in your organizations to develop data that drives real action.

How much consolidation have we experienced in the energy industry? Why? What is the outlook? As an HR professional, what is your role should M&A occur? HR has a dual role during a merger or acquisition. HR professionals are not only responsible for participating in the integration of their function, but also for defining the HR policies required to support merger activities and restaffing the new organization.

This can be a stressful role. As an HR professional, you must manage sensitive information and difficult issues affecting many people—all the while knowing you may not have a job in the new organization. During this fact-based, interactive discussion, we will provide:
• The role of HR in a merger or acquisition
• Options for executing HR's role
• Keys to success
• Key tools and techniques
• Lessons learned by those who have done this work

AT LEAST 5 WAYS TO MAKE ENGAGEMENT SURVEYS BETTER" -Facilitated by DICK FINNEGAN, President Of Finnegan Mackenzie, The Retention Firm

"Is it that time again?" Talking about engagement surveys is beginning to sound like budget talk. In this session participants will explore why engagement surveys generate few real solutions and will begin by asking, "What makes employees totally engaged, anyhow?" Once we solve that question, we can begin to identify better solutions for both administering our surveys and getting scores to improve.
